I have had that happen, and you just have to either be patient that someone will stumble over it at some time and answer it with an answer that is helpful to you, or just get over it.

You can move to the front page of the main question categories with any activity. That means that if you answer a comment or answer your own question, you get exposure.

I used to worry about it more, but now I just have faith in my question. I let it leave the nest, and if it's good, it will prosper with many answers. Many times, it's just a late bloomer. Regardless, I love it unconditionally, and then move on to create others:)

I recieved an answer to a question that was months old..and even with a bad response. People (and I) search old questions when the current ones have been looked over. You could try to re-word it differently if you really need some help or advise.

Sadly no you cant. You could try flagging it as nonsense. Thats what I do. But it rarely works. I feel your pain though. I hate it when someone answers my question with a shitty answer before anybody has the chance to put in something worthwhile.

Go to the question and put "more details" in the answer box. That will bring it up to the front again.

You can not erase someones answer. Just because one person answered it, doesnt mean no one will ever answer it now, sometimes, there isnt anyone on a that time that could answer it for you.
