They all exvepting spritual age are automatic, we can often (not always) work to lessen the gap between physical age and the emotional and mental age but the spiritual age is one of personal choice. Faith in whatever is a personal thing and can be chosen or rejected at any physical, emotional or mental age. Once on a spititual road or not all should progress hand in hand until external forces eg old age take over and dull the emtions and revert the mental age and finally complete the physical age! But it cannot touch the spiritual age, that continues.

Well, I'm chronologically seventeen now, but those four other things put me somewhere else on the scale. Physically, I look like I'm about twelve. Seriously, it's crazy. Emotionally, I think I've had to deal with things that most people my age haven't, such as abject hatred and cruelty from people who are supposed to care about me. I guess that puts me somewhere in my twenties, or further, but what do I know? But, I also behave like little more than a five year old in certain situations, which includes all social situations. Mentally, I'd like to believe that I'm smarter than most people. Seeing as most of my life has been devoted to learning, mandatory eduction or otherwise, I'd imagine I might be in my thirties there. But then again, what do I know? Spiritually, I'm already dead of old age. This one I'm sure about. I have been forced to face religion from age four to fourteen, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Looking at this now, I'd like to regress the spiritual and emotional parts and progress the physical part. I like the mental part right where it is.

We possess an 'age' of the Body, the Mind and the Spirit. Every individial is the captain of his or her own ship;the aging process. Our calendar age helps to determine our experiences and the lessons that manifest from what life teaches us and as important, what we choose to apply, given those lessons. When we learn to master all three 'ages' keep them working in balance then we get to live our bliss. Life began anew for me at sixty, proving it's never too late to apply the knowledge around aging.
