• Forget about fault. If you want to know if something is 'there,' then you need to look for it. Obviously it seems you want evidence. Well, evidence isn't going to fall on your lap and if you're already biased in the belief that God doesn't exist, then it'll be that much harder to find it. Start from scratch and examine both sides of the argument. I'd suggest examining the 'God exists' side first.

• I think when Twila said she chooses to "believe" she means she chooses to have faith, so therefore your comparisons to believing in the sunrise, and NOt believing in fairies aren't relevant to her answer..

• Of course it's a choice. DUh! If you believe, it's because you choose to do so. It's not because I have to, or because I'm being made to. I may choose to believe the sun will rise tomorrow, and be wrong, because the sun may implode... who knows? According to NASA, we are about to go through one heck of a solar storm, and the solar flares are rotating backwards, possibly screwing up gravity and life as we know it. And who says I don't believe in fairies? And just as I CHOOSE to believe in God, I can CHOOSE what religion I want to believe in, or not believe in.

• i won't but i've opened my eyes. The Bible is a book like many others, there is no absolute truth. While i still respect christianity i know am also able to respect other religions without needing to change the beliefs of people that think differently from me. You also should try, it is a very enriching experience and i didn't even get damned:-)

• I have studied many religions, sweetheart. My field of studies is Indonesian and Malayan Studies. I have lectured at tertiary level in Hinduism, both Indian and Balinese. I have also studied Islam, Buddhism and many variations of animism in my travelling around Indonesia, and in daily life in Australia.One of my minor studies was anthropology, so I have also dealt with the sociology of various minorities including Australian Aborigines and Mexicans. I am widely read in Ancient History and can discuss the major beliefs of most of the ancient world. I have a diploma in Cross-Cultural Studies. All these studies helped confirm my faith in Christ, as He is revealed in the Bible.

• that's great sweetheart! I don't believe in Christianity, it's a fairy tale just as all other religions. Chrisitanity is a war religion and in your studies you know it better than me. It denies life to homosexuals, it's racist and sexist from the roots, how can you and your God convert me?

• That's one of the flaws of Christianity and other religions. People stretch up to a certain point and when they can't reach anymore they invoke the greater power. He gave up a long time ago, but i don't give up on you:-)
