Yes. If someone engages me in a conversation, discussion, argument etc. I always consider thier knowledge, ability to debate, their experience etc. Half of the time I will just walk away.

Yes I do,very often I decide that the source is just not worth the expansion and trouble. I do not see the point in arguing over posts made months ago which some people seem to delight in. I usually just move on. Deliberate rudeness for no reason is also another reason I will leave a comment and just move on.

Yes, I have learned to say my piece and get out when the debate gets personal. I will continue if the opposing view is well stated and above-board. When it turns to personal attack I am done with it.

Great questions, PJ! Sometimes I'll be smart enough to do so at the beginning of the fight. Sometimes it hits me in the middle and I walk away. Other times, no; Not so much.
