  • If you have already told her that you aren't ready, you might have to take a more firm approach. Tell her you value the friendship that you have together, and her pressuring you is making things uncomfortable. If she persists, tell her the friendship is being damaged by it. She should give up eventually... Good luck!
  • Tell her the truth, but use a gentle voice. If she gets upset, just tell her that it is better that she hear the truth now before she puts more of an emotional investment into something that is not there.
  • I think it is beyond easy. You tried that. Now you must be forthright and honest while at the same time affirming. Tell her that she will make someone a wonderful wife some day, but that it will not be you. You appreciate and are humbled by her affection and esteem, but you are not at the place in life where you can return it. Use this one: "If i could find it within myself to love you as much as you seem to love me, I would be the luckiest man in the world. I hope that you find that man. You deserve to be loved that much."
