  • I am unsure as to the issue of abortion, but I am pretty sure you can give the baby up for adoption once it's born if you are her legal guardian.
  • None. If she ends up in jail, then you can assume guardianship of the child or try to adopt the child (if she wants to allow it or if you can convince a judge that she's unfit). As grandparents, you have very limited rights when it comes to your daughter's child. You cannot FORCE her to have an abortion, nor can you force her to give the baby up for adoption (I wouldn't even consider it if I were you, unless you want to lose your relationship with your daughter forever). There's nothing you can do but be supportive and offer her guidance and love. First thing you probably want to do is help her find a source of income =)
  • Abortion, political matters, religion and euthanasia are the most controversal subjects. Babies are a gift from God regardless of the circumstances. Sometimes they are not planned by the individual but it is still life. Times are tough right now for many, especially with the way our economy is. This will also be a lesson for her a hard lesson on life. Although we all wnat what is best for our child sometimes they have to fall before they learn. Keep in mind that falling is not failure and things happen for a reason. There is help out there and if you look hard enough you can find it. Remember this is your grandbaby and once you look into those angelic eyes you will wonder how you lived life wihtout her/him. You can make it many have.
