In some ways or aspects, yes, in others, no.

yes i live in a consumerist society where i have a number of unecessary "things" that make my life more comfortable and convenient at the cost of down-grading other lives. i try to re-use and not throw away as much as possible and not buy things that i don't need.
-
Yes, do you want some?
-
Speaking in terms of material "things", yes. Do I have more than I need spiritually, no. And I don't believe there will ever be a time in my life that my spiritual growth will be complete.
-
Materially yes I do have a lot more than I need. Emotionally I am totally bereft.Spiritually I am having to fight at the moment.

I don't own my stuff. My stuff owns me. I have it sitting in a nice house back home while I'm jammed into a cramped little room all the way across the country wondering if I'll ever make it back alive, and not particularly caring if I do or don't. As for "need", was that ever an issue? I learned how to survive with absolutely nothing in the Marines, and I'm starting to feel like that's the way to go.
