  • Go to anger management classes.
  • I too have this problem on occasion! being ignored like a child normally works for me :)
  • Yeah, me too. Close your eyes and take deep, "fill your lungs" breaths from the stomach, NOT from the chest. Make sure you are breathing right, that makes all the difference in slowing and calming your mind. Practice, it gets better.
  • The main thing is to improve your communication, and express yourself when the need arises.
  • I agree with above response! try anger managment. You could learn ways to better control your anger and also meet people who you can relate to who may be able to pffer good advice!
  • Antidepressants help everything. Also, get enough control and confidance in your own life that you dont have to depend on others. Then when they screw up you will have no reason to be angry.
  • Go to your doctor (or whatever) and explain the problem and they should tell you what options are available to you and advise you where to start. Once you have your info, take a deep breath and actually go and see what it's all about.
  • Have you taken Anger Management classes? They teach you some very simple and effective ways to deal with and control your anger without meds. Are you being medicated for a particular condition or are the docs just trying to modify the symptoms/outbursts?
  • You can attend anger management classes where they will show you how to get your frustration out in a more positive way, and get to the root of the problem, instead of hiding it with drugs.
  • Study some Philosophic texts on happiness and relaxation (whether or not you're happy or not is irrelevant, the texts often have incredibly useful insight into how to remain calm and happy no matter what is happening) A few examples off the top of my head would be the writings of Epicurus and maybe some of Michel de Montaigne's essays : ) Although I didn't have any anger / relaxation problems before reading them, they've certainly made me that little bit more relaxed and happy about things, as well as simply giving insight into some areas of Philosophical thinking that I hadn't considered before It's a real shame that Philosophy like that isn't taught properly in the earlier years of school : ( They'd be so helpful to so many people I think *sigh*
  • You can do what I did. I invested in good heavy bag & when I'm feeling anry or stressed, I put on the gloves and beat the hell out of the bag until I'mt too tired to be mad anymore.
  • Tai Chi and Taoist Esoteric Yoga meditations will teach you many types of self control, such as how to transform stress into vitality, and will help you to find the inner peace that leads to enlightenment.
  • My response is just to learn to SLOW DOWN. The initial reaction is when we are least wise, and I tend to resist impulses in general. Just get in the habit of stopping for a moment to breathe and think before you react.
