When the carnival came to my town when I was around 5, Me and my sister went on the "ring of fire" which is just a big circle roller coaster. I shouldn't have been riding it, as the harness didn't tighten enough for my small body, but I was anyway. It wasn't a traditional roller coaster that coasts, but was powered the whole way. Something happened that left us hanging upside down for about 5 minutes, and I was slowly slipping out of the harness. By the time it finally released, I was hanging about halfway out. It was not fun, but at least I didn't get hurt.

Stuck on a Double Decker Ferris Wheel once. I was at the top most point. They tried a traditional fire engine ladder but it wasn't able to reach me. Helicopters were flying over to evaluate the situation. I was really scared and had to go to the bathroom. I was so high up folks on the ground looked like ants. So, I just started to pray. And suddenly, A loud cranking sound started and the engine turned on and the car came down. I ran off and I have never nor will I ever ride one again. NEVER!

omg :( What a horrible thing to happen. :( I never enjoyed rides that much, because I always have this next to overactive paranoia that my hair is going to get stuck in some part of it and scalp me, so I stay off...this convinces me even more. I've been in plenty still. We used to go to the Red River Exhibition in Winnipeg, and no rides ever did anything like that, but I remember this one ride, it's like an oval Ferris wheel that spins on itself really fast, and it went on forever because apparently they couldn't turn it off. It went on for like fifteen minutes but it was only supposed to go for about three lol. Nobody got hurt though, maybe some were a bit sick, they turned it off somehow and it was inoperable for the rest of the day. Another one was turned off too, it was called the River Log Ride, and always seemed pretty odd...two huge metal arms holding the part where the people are in and it wobbles and swings every which way. But there was something about it not being stable, and it was turned off most of the day, and the following years I remember looking for it and it was no longer there. I think it was failing the safety standards or something. And this article I read about this is still giving me the unhealthy heeby jeebies. She has no feet left! That sucks. I'm never going to t a theme park ever again. Those are supposed to be like, safe?

I rode that ride 10 May 2007. I'm very sorry about the girl's feet being cut off.
