I was in the sixties for two years and it was great . I had all my food made and spooned to me , I was pushed around in a buggy everywhere , and all this with The Beatles playing in the background.

I guess that depends on what yer into!!

Well, I really enjoyed begin young in the 60's. I tried doing it again today and I have to agree, it's not nearly as fun :)

I rather liked it. ;-) Seriously, it was a more laid-back, optimistic time. You weren't constantly being told that everthing and everyone might hurt you. I was just old enough to appreciate the Beatles, the moon landing, and the Mets winning the World Series. It was frustrating being not quite old enough to go to Woodstock, however.

All I've got to go by is my experience as a young person in the sixties. Peace, love, good music, flowers in your hair...Osama Bin Who?

It was wonderful. It was simple and parents weren't so uptight, the whole world wasn't so uptight and angry, or dangerous. Families did things together and liked it. We weren't so materialistic or image conscious. People said things that were so and kept their word. Nobody got shot in schools, no one got pregnant as a 13 year old. Most folks weren't divorced and kids usually had both parents at home. I only knew 2 families that had someone divorced. Tv was simpler and that was okay. We did things outside and made our own fun. We didn't all go out for fast food but had dinners as families. We took trips together, driving all over and had a good time.

I don't know whether it was more fun because peoples' idea of what constitutes fun seems to have changed a lot. We had no video games, no computers, only 2 television channels - black and white 14" screen (17" if you were posh) I think most kids today would hate it for its simplicity. I loved it and everybody I know who lived in that time has the same thoughts. Despite the stories to the contrary there was very little promiscuity and hardly any drugs.
