  • As close as they want to. There is no limit on love.
  • I am asking this question because I believe that it is possible to get close to the love that a parent has. One of my room mates for a year and a half had a son. I spent so much time with him taking him to the park , McDonals and just being there for him. I loved him more then I have ever loved a non family member ever before. I would have protected him to the death if I had to. I cared enough about him to not let him get away with mis behaving. I'd say with a firm voice " You will not do that " or " If you do that again we will leave the park and go home " and I would mean it. He respected me. I feel I was very close to loving him like a parent. I know he loved me very much also I felt it every time he hugged me.
  • I do not believe that blood is thicker than water.I believe that it is quite possible to love anothers child as much as a parent. In fact much better than some parents. How else would adoption work?.
  • With all the second marriages happening,I see it happen alot but it takes years to foster.
  • well to be honest their is a lil think called how much do you want that person to love you? the answer is as much as you love her kids wich would be a lot lol
  • I think love for a dependent has more to do with the care you put into them than who's vagina they came out of. Yes, a non-family member can feel parental-type love for a child, if they are responsible for that child in a way.
