  • It is 2007, the only people who will have a reaction are so idiotic it is not even worth considering how they feel or why they feel that way. If you love the guy (assuming your a woman from your avater) then go for it! Good luck to you! :)
  • Don't expect anything. Then you won't be disappointed. Not everyone right now is okay with it, still. As long as your friends and family love and support you, they should be happy. It doesn't matter what the color of your skin is as long as you are happy with each other. Good luck!
  • The people who are racist will have a reaction but it being 2007 and all...more and more people are accepting of other races and interracial dating/marrying.
  • As long as you love each other and are happy together you should not take any notice of any adverse reaction you may get. In this day and age I doubt that it will be a big problem and if your families are happy for you both that is what matters. Anyone that has any bad reaction that is THEIR problem not yours. Your friends will be as happy for you as should everyone else Religion and skin colour has no place in love.
  • That could depend on where you live! I think these days people have learned to understand these types of things for the most part (one would hope) I'm in an interacial marriage and havent really expirienced any bs from people. CONGRATS!!!!
  • I think people really dont say allways the truth about things. I personaly am not racisist, I am mixed but being mixed is not allways a goodthing, I have never felt like I fit in any group not the white not the black not the asian not the mixed.People say birds of a feather flock together, where do I go. I had a lot of friends that were wed interracial married and they told me when they have arguments and fights, the truth would come out of both sides, came out and they would say hurtful things on both sides about each races.
  • I am white and my husband is Chinese. We get stared at a bit, particularly in the Chinese community, but I don't even notice it anymore. We've travelled to Italy together, and we never saw any racism, or felt any censure. The world is changing, and is becoming so multi-culture, races aren't a big issue anymore.
  • As long as you understand her culture and she understand yours. I think there will be a lot of compromising. I wish you all the luck :)
  • Me too dude and im in Georgia! So if I dont get shot, you should be fine =)
  • All I can say is if you do marry her, congratulations. Also congrats for seeing past skin color.
  • why do you look at life in colors. you should just see your girlfriend as a person instead of someone of a different race. why is she marrying you??
  • Your girlfriend is black and you are white? If so I say go ahead and get hitched. I'm happy for you!
  • Why are white people so opposed to interracial marriage??
