How do you make the ~ go over the n when typing words in Spanish?

hold ctrl+shift+alt+~ then type an n

I don't know of any shortcuts but if you go to the start button then >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Character Map: you will then find an N with a tilda above it.

On my key board, I hold down Alt and press 164, then let go. By the way, it's called a tilde.

on mine goes alt 4004 "ñ"

I cannot get any of these codes to work on mine. i have Vista.
