Does anybody still have computer trouble in Answerbag? It still keeps happening to me.

What kind of trouble do you have? I do not have much trouble, except for posting long comments. (I usually copy them before if I am not sure if they are too long). And at times is Answerbag not availaible, it happened not long ago. What is your computer configuration? Do you use Internet Explorer as browser?

According to my brother, the problem is poorly written Java scripts on this sight. The scripts don't meet the universal standards for web browsers. So, some browsers simply choke on them. The administrators here apparently don't care about this and expect us to only use one of the few browsers that is compatible with the sight rather than making universally compliant so that we can use what ever browser we want. So, for example, after using it for all of my time on AB previous to the latest "upgrade" to AB, I can no longer use my preferred web browser (Apple's Safari) with this site. The "upgrades" to this site causes the latest general release of that browser to crash on a regular basis. Apple just released a beta of the next version of Safari which does seem to be more stable with AB, but now the comment boxes don't work correctly with it. So, I am still stuck with using Firefox for this site.

Yep, I get lock ups and my long posts won't go unless I trick it. I hve to type them, copy, and then type nonsense and edit a paste to get them on here.

Mine is real slow when I go to one question to the next - the http:// drags and keeps downloading before I can answer , ask and comment
