I have a RCA television with the Guide plus that now has no sound. Connections, mute button, etc. are fine. What could be wrong?

  I have a RCA XL100 XS Commercial Skip Need to connect TV Ears to help my mother hear (she is hearing impaired). There appears to be to small jacks on the back of the set with small letters I can't read next to each jack. Is this the audio & video outs?
