This Lord of the Flies Special Edition novel for $25. (Those were the only left.) Unfortunatley, as I started reading, the pages fell off one by one. What a waste of money!

last year i bought the harry potter book right when it came out so it was about $40.00.

Years ago I bought a book with all the plates of the Art Deco Figurines by Chiparus and Lorenzl etc. It was very expensive. Also the History of Dancing as an Art Form . Theatre Costumes through the Centuries. These books are still packed away and I am worried they will have the photographs messed up.

$300 worth of book. It was entitled "Gonzo" and was reccomended to me by a good friend.

I remember paying around $150 for a single text book when I was in college- I think it was either Anatomy or some Biology book. Outrageous if you ask me.

A word processing book for school. It was almost $200.

wow, the most expensive book i bought was a cartoon of for better of for worse and spent only 14.99 for it.

$200 Elephant leather bound scriptures. Most of my computer books are $60 each combined them and its to much to think about....

I didn't personally buy it, but after taking a Shakespeare class last year my dad got me a Complete Works of Shakespeare for about fifty bucks. It's real purdy.

Other than textbooks for Uni (which are always expensive) I always think twice about spending more than £20 (about $40) on a book. I did spend just over £20 on a second hand copy of Cave Birds by Ted Hughes. Only 60 pages long. Only got writing on half the pages... It's a beautiful book though. :)

Actually, the latest Harry Potter book. All of my other books have been bought used.
