Have you ever thought of an idea or a concept, just to find a week or so later, your idea on the market? Mine was in the 80's with 'Topsy-Tail!' Why didn't i patent that idea? How about you?

well long time ago i thought why not make like the part where you hold the pen made out of rubber so that you wont loose your grip... the day after that i went to the stationary and walah .... there it is...

I thought of glow in the dark lightbulbs, so if the bulb blows out you can still get some light from it in situations where it may be vital. I thought the idea was too dumb to get anywhere though, so I did nothing. Problem is that you need to be a year or two ahead of something being publicly available. And then once you have the idea, it takes a LOT of work to get it developed and marketed to the point of being profitable. The initial idea for something is about 1% of the battle.
