A Marist community is a community, who believes in following the examples of Mary's life. An example is an organization called the Marist Society, which can be located and visited online at the following website link: http://www.maristsociety.org/about/index.html Personally, I firmly believe that we should be following God's example set by our Saviour, Jesus as opposed to trying to follow a fellow human-being's example, but that's my personal opinion. Although, there's probably nothing inherently wrong with following good examples set by other people, of course, but our main focus needs to be on following Jesus because He's our Saviour and leader for what is right--not people.
