In a case like this, you need proof. if the teller did make a mistake(and they do)you are going to have to prove this. gather all your deposit slips and your check register and head to your bank. A phone call will not do. go in person. most banks have bank officers, that will assist you in this matter.

I agree with John. Banks are netoriously bad with customer service, as it normaly involves gining [there] money to you - the customer - YOUR money back. You need paper and ink proof, something that can not be disputed. Most importantly, with anyone in the bank you talk to, (try and find one MANAGER that you will talk to ONLY) be calm, curteous, and respectful. I have been a manager and I would do my best not to been very helpful to people who looked down on me, or treated me like dirt. A little kindness goes a long way - a lot of times.
