  • God has to be supremely just otherwise He ceases to be God. What hope is there for us if He of all is not just. He has set up very high standards of justice for humans in the Holy Quran (HQ) as Mr Pickthall puts it in his translation of HQ 4:135 "O ye who believe ! BE YE STAUNCH IN JUSTICE, witnesses for Allah, EVEN THOUGH IT BE AGAINST YOURSELVES or (your) parents or (your) kindred, whether (the case be of) a rich man or a poor man, for Allah is nearer unto both (than ye are) . So follow not passion lest ye lapse ( from truth ) and if ye lapse or fall away, then lo! Allah is ever Informed of what ye do." About God HQ 3:18, again according to Mr Pickthall’s translation, says “Allah (Himself) is witness that there is no God save Him. And the angels and the men of learning (too are witness). MAINTAINING HIS CREATION IN JUSTICE, there is no God save Him, the Almighty, the Wise.” Emphasis added. One can see why the idea of God sacrificing Jesus for the sins of man would be totally incompatible with the idea of justice in Islam.
  • Isiah 61:8 says For I the love justice; I hate robbery and injustice; I will faithfully reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them. Psalm 10:13,14 says Why does the wicked man revile God? why does he say to himself, He won't call me to account"? But you, Oh God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the Fatherless.
  • Wonder if anybody could answer that WITHOUT a bible quote. Or anything else,(about "god"), for that matter.
  • To which God are you referring? There are certainly many of them that people choose to believe in. I myself do not believe in any god, so therefore, my answer is no.
  • Yes, The God of the Bible is a God of justice. Justice is one of his four cardinal attributes. He is a lover of righteousness and justice. Jehovah told Isaiah that "I, Jehovah, am loving justice". "The Rock, perfect is his activity, for all of his ways are justice",
  • I do consider God to be THE God of justice, but I am a Christian!! Alright, I am prepared for the inevitable down rates. In His service, <:))))<>< "Better is one day in the courts of the Lord than thousands elsewhere..." Psalm 84:10
  • Yes. Not just a God of justice, but the God of justice. -In Christ's service. Thank you and God bless you!
  • Yes, but God's justice not ours. We cannot comprehend the mind of God.
  • Gods ways are not our ways. We judge after the blackness of our hearts, God judges according to His Law. What we see as injustice is only a part of the scale, we do not see the entirety of the matter. Nor do we see the entirety of the means of God's justice. So while humanity has a hard time believing that God is just, He remains Just despite our inabilities.
  • God advises that even if you feel hatred towards someone and that person lodges a claim against you, you must still let justice take its proper course and you must not seek to hinder or divert it even if you know beforehand that verdict will go against you or your loved ones. If God recommends that level of Justice for us He must Himself be on a much higher level. HQ 5:7-10 “Remember God's grace upon you and His covenant by which He bound you when ye said: We hear and we obey; and keep your duty to God. God knoweth what is in the breasts (of men). O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for God IN EQUITY, and let not hatred of any people seduce you THAT YE DEAL NOT JUSTLY. DEAL JUSTLY, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to God. Lo! God is Informed of what ye do.” God hath promised those who believe and do good works: Theirs will be forgiveness and immense reward. And they who disbelieve and deny Our revelations, such are rightful owners of hell. 4: 135 “O ye who believe ! BE YE STAUNCH IN JUSTICE, witnesses for God, even though it be against yourselves or (your) parents or (your) kindred, whether (the case be of) a rich man or a poor man, for God is nearer unto both (than ye are). So follow not passion lest ye lapse ( from truth ) and if ye lapse or fall away, then lo! God is ever Informed of what ye do.”
  • Aye.. indeed.
  • Well, that depends- do you consider killing a bunch of children because they made fun of a bald man to be justice? Is flooding the entire planet, killing off all og humanity except for one family, simply because they did not believe it him to be justice? The God described in the Bible lists many sins, and describes many things followers must do: but the most important one is always to worship it. It hates the worship of false gods or idols more than any other sin. If that God can be associated with any attribute, it would not be justice, it would be ego.
  • How old are you? Five?
