Because then he becomes the short seasoned pleasures he offers are ok and people are actingon their own will they take God out of the equation not realilizing that puts the devil in the equation.

  • No. His greatest trick was convincing others to worship his evil deeds.
  • No. Satan doesn't have a great trick, because Satan doesn't exist. The greatest trick having to do with the idea of Satan is that the priesthood convinced so many that this mythical Being exists, and to blame/hate/fear it.

  • i'm the goddamn devil
  • Yes, he is the embodiment of the evil reprecussions of our actions. If he does not exist the eternal significance of those consequences dissapears. It becomes instant gratification
  • Ooh, great question! I think Satan's greatest trick was (and is) to deceive us and turn us away from Christ; to trick us into not believing and accepting Jesus Christ into our heart. The Bible says "Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour"~1 Peter 5:8. Satan's one goal is to stop God's work wherever it is taking place. "To accomplish this he schemes and works every way he can, and he is behind all the evil that takes place in the world. His name—Satan—literally means "Adversary"—an d that is what he is: our adversary."~Billy Graham "The devil works to deceive us and convince us that his promises are true and God's Word is a lie. Jesus said that the devil 'was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies' (John 8:44). Don't ever take Satan lightly!"~Billy Graham "If you are a Christian, Satan hates you because he lost what you now have, and that is eternal life with Jesus Christ in heaven forever! If you are not a Christian, he still hates you, and will try to trick you into not believing and accepting Jesus Christ into your heart."~Billy Graham "But one other thing needs to be said about the devil: He is a defeated foe! By His death and resurrection Jesus Christ conquered all the forces of death and Hell and Satan, and when we belong to Christ, we are safe from all these terrors forever. Make sure of your salvation by giving your life to Christ today."~Billy Graham Some day "the devil, who deceived them, will be thrown into the lake of burning sulfur ..for ever and ever" (Revelation 20:10). "Satan and his demons are destined to go to hell forever (Matthew 25:41)."" Someday all the evil in our world will be destroyed, and Christ will reign in perfect justice and love."* "The thief [Satan] comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
  • By the looks of it, that still is his greates trick...
  • No. His greatest trick was convincing the world he DID exist. Because instead of blaming the root causes for evil, we can just blame a made up entity, e.g. Satan. If his greatest trick was to convince the world he didn't exist, it hasnt worked all that well, has it?
