Yep. Came in second place when I was in the fifth grade. I screwed up the word "anyway".

I was supposed to but i had strep throat and they wouldnt let me in the cafeteria to do it.I was furious!

I came as 3rd place in third grade. I remember I messed up on the word "gypsy"

Yes, 7th grade against 8th grade. I was last person standing for 7th grade. We spelled on and on and on. Finally the caller said "wretched," and it was my turn. I said "R- , no W-R-E-T-C-H-E-D" and they made me sit down and declared the sole remaining 8th-grader the winner. I WUZ ROBBD. Oh well.

I lost in the first round in the regionals. I was asked to spell the word, Hesrtonohrinipous (I wonder if I spelled it right anyways.) Anyways, I thought that it was unfair because the others got easier words like helmet, and dragster...things like that.
