  • Good question Sheepingly. I'm not atheist, I completly believe in God but I do see your point. God has shown himself in many ways to many times for people not to believe in Him.
  • I've seen things and experienced things that I cannot explain, but I do not attribute them to a god. I would attribute them to something that I cannot explain, but someday, there may be an explaination.
  • Never. And it's not like I didn't listen and try...for years.
  • No, not really. I would probably be more likely to attribute such a sign to some spirits or entities than I would a God- not that I really believe in anything like them either, though. I would think that if there was an all-powerful God and he wanted me to know something he could do more than send me a vague signal... perhaps he would just write it across my forehead. I do have an ongoing joke with a friend, though. Every time something goes wrong I say, "You might be right... there is a God- and he apparently hates me."
  • No. I've seen plenty of things that have convinced me there is no God, however.
  • I have, the miracle of life for one, but then I answer my question of 'is there a God?' by saying 'we can explain this through science, so no there isn't!' I often question my disbelief for the plain and simple reasons that I was raised by a religious family and I am a scientist at heart. No matter how many times I question myself I always come up with the same answer: God is an imaginary friend! Perhaps that is the case Sheepingly. Perhaps after I die God will put Himself before me and say "You see, I do exist." After all, we humans are fallible, we are wrong from time to time. However I find it far more likely that He does not exist.
  • Of course not - all things, no matter how extrodionary can be explained.
  • nope, and never did, even when I did believe
  • No never. I will say that I have seen many things that would compel me to think their can not be a god/gods. Saying god did it every time something happens that you can not explain seems inadequate and foolish.
  • No, not really.
