  • You are sucking the wrong end
  • I can't speak for all Louisianians, but personally, I don't eat crawfish. In fact, I don't eat shrimp, crab, or fish either. I am allergic to shell fish and I just don't like fish. The reason seafood is so popular here and in other southern states is because of it's accessibility. Here you can get fish fresh from the Gulf, marsh, lakes, rivers, where ever anytime you want. So, people eat a lot of seafood. And I do not, nor have I ever, sucked the head of a crawfish.
  • not all people there eat that stuff and maybe they dont like what we eat or how we eat.
  • Well, I absolutely LOVE crawfish. YUM YUM! But, my husband does not like them. I eat the meat from the tail. People sucking the head, suck it to get the seasonings out. I have done this but very few times. If you havent been shown what to do it can be very gross. Who wants the matter from the head in their mouth? Not all from Louisiana like it though.
  • People from down south like it so much because it's how we were brought up, and plus crawfish are usually covered in spicy seasoning. And there are a variety of ways that crawfish, crabs, etc. can all be cooked! Try some crawfish and I guarantee you wont be disappointed! You can actually order some online and they'll ship them to you the next day. http://www.cajungrocer.com/fresh-foods-crawfish-live-c-1_15_19.html try em out!
