My 1992 Buick Lesabre is having electrical issues. When I turn the key to the on position, the radio turns on and the blower motor comes on. The car also has a rough idle. I can't figure it out. Could it be the ECU? TIA for any help you can provide!

WHEN YOU SAY ON POSITION IS THE ENGINE RUNNING? IS THE RADIO REALLY ON/IS THE BLOWER ON TRY TURNING THEM OFF. IT COULD BE A BAD GROUND TO VEHICLE CHASSIS.FOR IDLE PROBLEM TUNE-UP YOUR CAR SPARK PLUGS,SPARKPLUG WIRES ECT..TRY MABEY A HIGHER OCTANE GAS OR A FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER.

Tough question given the data - "on" position = accessories or starting position? I only ask because you said that the "on" position enables the radio and blower, yet you say 'also has a rough idle'. Case 1: On accessory, radio and blower should come on normally. Case 2: In start position, key should kill all accessories to direct all battery power to starter until the engine engages. If the radio and blower are on when you go into starter position, the battery is bad. Rough idle can be dozens and dozens of things. Do you have a tach to display the range of the rough idle? Does it ever change from cold to hot? ECU not likely, more likely MAF/MAP or fouled injectors, bad spark plugs or a bad distributor.
