  • your a bit more cannon fodder in the army sorry
  • The army probably doesnt worry too much about G force as they pretty much stay on the ground unless for travel only.
  • Its supply and demand too. The Air Force can be more picky right now during wartime. Because a lot of people who want to join the military and not have to take the chance of getting into a bloody fight on the ground in Iraq are trying to join the Air Force. So the Air Force like a lot of employers says to itself well if so many people want to join lets pick only what we consider the best i.e. physically , mentally etc. I was in the Marines in peace time in the infantry and sorry to say the infantry is what the army is about to a large extent. You should try and get into an army air wing like a helicopter pilot. I think you only have to have a 2 year degree to be an army helicopter pilot. Look into it.
  • because the army is desperate for bodies right about now. they're even trying to entice former air force guys like me and current air force personnel into cross training into the army by waving a fat bonus under our noses. almost nobody's biting. bush and company keep lowering the standards to get in the army. when i joined in 86 the max age was 35, its 42 or 45 now. it's just crazy! bush or the next president either has to end this or start the draft. sad to say, but that's the only options.
  • There is a possibility that if you fly at a certain altitude, the heart murmur will reopen (assuming it is closed)More likely in the AF than Army possibly.
