  • To respond to your comment: It's not exactly where the weight is, it's the fact that the front tires are responsible for the handling of the vehicle. In turns the front tires take most of the force, during braking they take most of the weight, etc. In a rear-drive truck with sub-par rear tires you will have an increased risk of fishtailing but if you drive cautiously (slow in the corners, no punching it off the line, etc. ) then you will barely notice it. Put the new ones on the front as midnight says, and that is the best course of action. Of course you should replace the backs as soon as you can. Maintaining the correct tire pressure will extend the life of your tires. Hope this helps, Good Luck
