The one who, through invention, etc, who has created the largest number of jobs for society. I have no idea who that is. I would suggest that Bill Gates is near the top of the list, however.

The greatest man in the world? I would have to say the Prophet of the Islamic faith. He not only brought his people out of darkness -worshipping all sorts of idols, killing their infant daughters, slavery, etc., but to this day, his teachings continue to influence many people. My second choice would be Jesus.

Probably Bill Gates, because through Microsoft he has made computers available to everyone, even to mentally retarded people. There are almost no limits to the computer revolution that started with Microsoft. When I was in College between 1975 and 1979 computers were something awful. Few people could deal with them. When you used a computer you did not write in English, Spanish or any other language. You had to use "Computer Languages" who were as fun as getting a root canal. Formulas on top of Formulas. Microsoft changed all that and it has made a wonderful contribution to our society that will be hard to match by anyone else.

is that the greatest man in the world though out history or do you want current time ?? thought out history, Alexander The Great , currently: Prince William of England, why because he will make a great king of England and do great things , just give him a littel more time.
