What a novel idea. They should require a license to drink, to prove they have taken the class. Yes. Edit - it could be just like the CPR card that we get when we complete a cpr class at the Red Cross.

thats a great idea, not everyone will get the message about responsable, but a few will, and that bettre than none. here in ireland teens start drinking at 16 and 17 sometimes even younger, so really the problem should be addressed in schools like sex ed.
-
It depends on what the class teaches about alcohol consumption.People will experiment regardless of what they are taught on the subject.

I used to think that class consciousness was a particularly British thing, working class, middle class, upper class etc, but it seems to have changed to a particularly American thing - classes in this, classes in that, classes in the other. If we Brits and Americans followed the Europeans we wouldn't have such a problem with alcohol.

Yeah, if sex education can be taught so should the dangers of alcohol! Even when taught SAFE sex ~ many have not practiced what was taught. It would be the same idea with an educational class in schools about any drug consumption. Mainly alcohol, because it is legal and easier to get. Everyone will still try it, but maybe in more sensible situations. We don't know until it is tested. I am all for it!

It probably wouldn't change much of anything, people who drink and drive or who drink enough to black out are for the most part well aware of the potential dangers of drinking irresponsibly and keep doing it regardless.
-
People KNOW these things. They do it anyway, so classes will make no difference.
-
No. It is time for governments to stop controlling our lives.
-
No because most of them have been drinking LONG before then.
-
We are required to practice and take tests for driving, but that doesn't prevent people from being bad at it. So, I'd say no.
