  • Maybe in YOUR relationship but not in mine
  • Do they? My wife and I have 3 check books, hers, mine and one that is ours, and all we use that one for is our income property and taxes
  • I think it varies from family to family. My husband and I share those duties at the moment, but after the baby's born and I stop working, I'll probably take more responsibility for organising our finances. We need to become better organised than we are now, and as I'll be the one doing the shopping. managing the house and such like, it makes sense that I should keep an eye on the finances. I doubt I'll 'control' it though - just manage it.
  • My wife balances and controls the checkbook, because we both work in accounting, but her job is more with numbers and reconciliation where mine is with Databases... plus if she asks me if we can buy something, she knows our funds and knows if we have the money or not. She's always been a good budgeter and I've always been an impulse buyer. I love bulk, I love infomercials, so for our own protection... I don't care for the finances. Most of the time women are more frugal than men... except when it comes to shoes and make up.
  • uh cause we're smarter...? duh?
  • You are right there. Thanks
