Yeah, probably wouldn't hurt.

If you have a good surge strip, you should be fine. Unplugging unused electronics is actually a great habit to get into anyhow, if you want to save energy.

at least untill its further away

Yes, unless your computer is plugged into a UPS system. (Uninterruptible (Universal) Power Supply (surge suppressor, system backup protection)
-
Yes I would. Our electricity goes out for every thunder storm and a lot of electronics will fail even with a surge protector.
-
Yes, but more importantly, unplug it.

You better be extremly careful with lightning at this case. It really doesn't matter if you have a good extension cord {although a good one will help}, but you definity need to turn off your computer as well as to unplug it. I also recommend to shut down any other electronics that you may not need at this time. Failure to shut down your computer may attract the lightning due to electric activity, and could give you an electric shock that you will never forget.

DEFINITELY unplug your electronics. Surge protectors handle several jouls... which rounds about to sometimes a few hundred volts but think about this; it takes roughly 60,000 volts of electricity to go through one inch of air. Imagine how much electricity there is in lightning now! this will completely destroy a surge protector, arch, and still hit your electronics. A few other tidbits: keeping in mind the amount of electriciy that lightning posseses, rubber soles will NOT in ANY WAY protect you from lightning. Cars are always a safe place to be when lightning strikes. Not because of the tires, but because the frame of the car moves electrons around you.
