I wouldn't. Cooking oils and such can break down condoms, which you should be using if you engage in anal sex. Go out and buy some Astroglide, it works wonders :).

Well you can. I wouldn't recommend it but it can be used. I guess the first issue is whether you need to practice safe sex. If not Mazola is definitely better than spit. If you should be practicing safe sex, ie. you are not in a long term monogamous relationship, then put a helmet on that soldier and use a water based lube. It is not that life is so short it is that you are dead for so long.
