When the word of God is spoken to you, doesn't it give you a spark of joy? and why?

Its an unexplainable chill down my spine. the world seems to be brighter, the birds seem so sing more loudly and for those few minutes, i have not one care in the world.

No, though it does give me a cold shudder at how sickining some of it is. The only bright spark of Joy, the only bright spark of Heaven I get though is when I am with someone I dearly love and when I listen to Beethoven's Ninth.

It might, I don't believe it has ever been spoken to me - that is if a God exists. I certainly don't believe that the bible or any religious scripture(s) are the direct word of God.

You mean "the word of YOUR God", when you speak the word of "your God", it really has no effect on me whatsoever, because I do not believe as you do.

Yes, God's word does give me joy because I love and trust God. Men may fail you but God never will.

No, not even a tiny tingle. It just makes me wonder when that person is going to be able to make up their own opinions and use real evidence to back them up rather than relying on an age old, biased and flawed text to tell them how to think.

Yes, it gives me great joy unspeakable. It also gives me comfort to know that He will never leave or forsake me, and that He is always by my side. It gives me comfort when I am feeling down. His Word encourages because I know that the Word is a lamp unto my feet and light onto my path. His Word gives me strength when I feel weak, because I know I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. It gives me purpose and because I know that I am more than a conqueror. I know that I am above and not beneath. It gives me peace that surpasses all understanding. It lets me know that I can live without fear because I have love, power, and a sound mind.

Sometimes. I mean, when God talks about sending His one and only Son Jesus Christ so whoever believes in Him, shall be saved and have eternal life (John 3:16), I'm very thankful and joy to hear there. There are many bible verses that makes me joyful too cause it's happy moments, but sometimes, reading about the crucifixion and how people disrespect Jesus our Savior, I feel sad. Sometimes I feel astonished on certain stories and sometimes, I feel bad cause I don't stand up near any of those bible characters. So to answer your question, yes I do feel the joy reading God's words, especially on the ones about love and miracles the Lord has done.
