In your apartment complex or your neighborhood (if you're lucky enough to have a house), do you know your neighbors or are they all pretty much strangers?

Mostly strangers. I'll talk to them but we don't get together for drinks or anything.

I've only just moved to my new apartment (April 1st) so I don't really know anyone, no. My balcony looks out onto a mans backyard, and sometimes we say hello, but thats the extent of it.

Our neighbors were pretty much strangers until we had kids. Then we started spending more time in front of our house with the kids and got to know the neighborhood. If you do not know your neighbors I engourage you to do what you can to get to know them. Being on friendly terms with your neighbors can greatly improve your quality of life.

Sadly, half of them are mostly strangers. I have had them over, but only the one time.

I know all the neighbours within a few hundred feet of my house and we all say hello to each other and stop for a bit of a chat, but I only visit one of them for dinner or drinks.
