I don't think we'd recognize him, and I wonder what he might do to convince people that he is who he is and not one of the zillions of others who claim to be him.

my opinion is that it would be the same today as it was back in his own time,he would have some loyal followers,but the majority would look at them as being gullible and deluded.although i m not a christian myself,i see jesus as having attained to a much higher peak of spirituality than the world then or today can understand.
