No, in fact, more Americans are lacking in iron now that most people don't cook in iron skillets. I LOVE my iron skillet.

It's perfectly safe. Most people have an iron deficiency anyway, unless they are particularly large consumers of spinach or broccoli or the like. Now if it were a lead skillet...

Men sometimes have too much iron, leading to heart problems, but it's easy to get rid of - just donate blood, and save somebody's life along with yours.
