Is there anything wrong with people who don't celebrate holidays or am I just plain boring?

No, there is nothing wrong with people who don't celebrate holidays. It doesn't make you/them boring. I think it's the opposite. I think most people celebrate holidays without much thought, as though they are required to celebrate like everyone else. You must have good reasons for not wanting to celebrate, and I think it takes courage.

In recent years I've volunteered to work every holiday, ostensibly to show deference to those with families, but in reality to try to escape alla artificial, manufactured, incessantly advertised, and worst of all seemingly *mandatory* "celebrations" of what-the-@#$%-ever, ad nauseum. - Happy holidays! - ;-)

does it make you happy to forgo celebrations? if so, it's OK. but if you feel angry, resentful, lonely, or any other negative emotion when you don't celebrate, then get with it!! holidays are icing on the cake to me!

HOLIDAYS BORE ME TOO.SO DOES AMERICAN IDOL AND DANCING WITH THE STARS.I GIVE AND TAKE FROM PEOPLE ALL YEAR!WHY JUST HAVE ONE DAY A YEAR......UNDER OBLIGATION TO SHARE?I THINK THAT THE OVER-COMMERCIALIZATION OF THESE "HOLIDAYS" HAS JADED ALOT OF US.
