    I have the same problem. I have heard that "Snake Away" is 92.3% effective in that rattlers will not cross a line that is doused with the product. The other important thing to do is cut back all saw palmettos back, leave absolutely no brush nearby. We have 9 acres (some wooded) we've seen pygmy rattlers while mowing our ditch, thankfully far enough away from our home. Good luck
