Sorta, yeah. It's 5 times larger, but it is in the 'temperature zone' around its star where water could be liquid on its surface and it is rocky (not gaseous). So - closest we've found so far! Even better - it would only take a Boeing 747 about 285,000 years to get there!

NASA discovered a new planet in a new solar system which is about the same size and temperatures as earth. Tjey say it is 90% possible that there might be life there. They are making stronger machines to send them there.

This is not an answer but I am interested. Does this planet have a name? What is the name of the star it orbits? How many light years away is it?
