I'll refer you to a question similar to yours in this link:http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/174705 Maybe some answers there could help.

i am no expert on this, and i really shouldn't be talking because i am unsure whether i should live or die. but i'll give you the best answer i can. it is to be happy in the time we have. to help others, and to see the wonders of this world, whether they be people or places. to have loved ones and to laugh and to hurt and to dance and just live. the point of living is to live and to live a full life. reading that back now i realize thats very confusing. does it make any sense to you?

The point is all the stuff that happens between point A and point B.

To love and obey God. He has a plan for each of us, a plan to proper us and not to harm us. That may or may not mean material wealth, but it will prosper and grow and satisfy our souls if we follow it.
-
why say you have never thought about killing yourself?
-
One of the reasons is to experience your mortality. Unfortunately, pain and suffering is a major part of being human. Trust me though, you'll have more great moments in your life that will make you understand why life is worth living. You just gotta be humble for now and swallow your pain like it's a disgusting medicine..'cause that's what it is...but in the long run, it's gonna make you healthier.

why must everything have a point? a population would do dine without any 1 individual, the eco system would adapt to the loss of any one population, the planet would be just fine without any life, the solar system would be just fine without earth, the galaxy would be just fine without our solarsystem and the universe would be jsut fine without out galaxy. if religion is wrong then there is no point. why do people need a grand purpose?
-
You make your own point. There doesn't have to be some grand design or purpose. Just find something you love to do and DO IT! Find someone you love and LOVE THEM. It's your life. LIVE IT.

Yes that's true. We do not have to live at all, it was our own decision to live like we are living now. I have a theory, that our living intelligence comes from atoms: each person acts like an atom - to some other atoms we give and from some other atoms we take. Most optimists say that anybodies life has a meaning, and some people have invented *Gods*. And some scientists say that we are actually food for green people from Mars. But all lifeforms have one target: to multiply. Each animal and each plant needs to multiply itself. Like atoms: an atom can't get bigger if it doesn't find another atom to join with. So that's from where we got the need "find a mate". There's no one forcing us to find a mate, it's just an ancient track we are still playing. If we actually had a point, then we'd already be smart, live in outerspace, and be immortal and have no stupid issues like hunger and money. We are just *randomly* here. But it is fun to know more about the surroundings tho. :P If you don't like your current status, for example, too poor to live, then you can always end yourself. If you are a soulmaster, then after ending yourself, you can pick a new human-or animalcell to live in, but that's not that successful, because you might be *overwritten* by the new host. Better choose to stay as poltergeist, but don't harm anyone from your 2nd world layer just observe, or somebody might call a sensitive who'll dissassemble your spiritual body and then you'll be surely gone. 0.o

You learned you were going to die when you were 7 or 8. You also began to experience life, feeling and learning from living, and most of us have learned life is worth living all the way through. Others have accelerated through life by living fast and furious or escaped life through drugs. Hope is the eternal factor that guides us through life. Hope gives you a reason to get up every day.

Read "Tuesdays with Morrie." Love everyone you can and teach as many people about your story before you leave this earth. In short, leave a mark.
-
What do you mean here with the "point"? Just enjoy it as long as you can!
-
To love and love well as God wants us to. The way we live our lives will show by what fruit we grow. I want to reap great things so in the mean time I will try my best to sow great things. . My life is my relationship with God and that is eternal, the eternity began the moment I turned my life over to Him
-
The point of life is to create life. Anything else is a bonus.
-
The point is that you're alive until you're not. Make the most of it. Life is not a dress rehearsal; this is it, this is all you get.
