  • Washu-Chan, Parental disappointment (especially abandonment) is a very tough thing to go through at any age, but especially as an adolescent or child. Is your father still in the picture? If so, hopefully he is more supportive than your mother. I would recommend that you tell your mother how much you love her and need her, and how upsetting it is for you when she goes away. I think anyone in your situation could benefit from counseling. Perhaps your school could make a counselor or therapist or another resource available to you at little or no cost? Or at least you can reach out to an adult that you trust and like. Do you have siblings? If so, hopefully they are an additional source of love and support to you. And of course, look to your friends for encouragement. Good luck. My heart goes out to you.
