  • No, I do not think the family on LPBW is exploiting their differences for money. He makes excellent money in software development and sales plus she's a certified teacher. They have a nice income on their own, then if you add in the rental of the farm, they make a lot of money. Conversely, I think that they are exploiting there differences for their own personal fame and to call attention to the difficulties that little people suffer daily.
  • All show's like reality shows are just getting old to me - I watched it a few times - Money I don't think it's just about money
  • If a fair monetary arrangement is made, suiting all parties, it is not exploitation. We don't often accuse beautiful women for exploiting their looks. They are marketing their "ASSETS."
  • He makes no money in software as he was fired from his job for being the worst salesman with the company even though he likes to say otherwise. You can only make so much profit from 6 acres of pumpkins. His wife is only a part time teacher. Yes they are exploiting that they are little people for money the steps he made only sold to the hotels that hold the little people conference. I guess they were under a privilage to. He charges over $300 per step he wanted people to boycott hotels that wouldn't buy them and had to stop producing them. All you have to do is watch the show and you will see it's all money for the Roloffs.
  • are the people in Jackass:the Movie exploiting the fact they are jackasses to make money? i'm not sure 'exploiting' is the proper word here, they are profiting from being different though, yes.
  • I don't care for Matt. I think he's just putting on a big show for the camera. The wife and kids seem to be more genuine. And what the hell was all that about with the DUI?
  • Yes they have 34 acres but how many of the 34 acres are usable? eg. acres taken up with roads, projects, woods and as well as that pumpkins need to be rotated every year or two which means that you need at least 18 acres to have six acres of pumpkins every year. You say you are farming but you don't seem to know anything about crop rotation and adjusted acreage. Take a look at their farm on google earth and you will see how much of the farm is workable. Don't forget that google earth photos were taken around 2006 since then they built swimming pools and a basketball court plus other things. His was fired from his job for being unproductive, he then took the company to court for unfair dismissal and lost. As the court case has been made public it is common knowledge as to why he was fired. As for expanding the farm business did you see how many extra people they have working there? they have to be paid.
