The reigning champion or higher ranked fighter usually comes in last. The length of time between the two fighters entering the ring is an intimidation technique by the champion or higher ranking fighter.
The Challenger or underdog comes to the ring first. or if of a level the away fighter.
The Champion , higher ranked or home town fighter comes to the ring second.
The higher rated fighter generally gets the choice. A champion alwsy comes in last. Mr Bill
