Yes, I could never figure that out either. How do you get "caught up" in the moment when you know you're going to have to pay it back? That's the only thing I think of!

I think it is way too easy to spend money on credit cards. You only think of the $20 a month and not the total amount. Also you thin of each credit card seperatly. Then when you add it all together you get a real shock. Plus some people get short on cash and buy things like groceries swearing they will pay it off with the next check but then something comes up and so on... The society of living paycheck to paycheck fuels a lot if it.

It's very easy to understand in principle, especially by people who either can't get credit or those who would rather wait until they had enough money before buying something. However, today's 'must have it now society' and the money lenders that feed off it simply don't have principles.
