To the people. If the people do not let the politicians know just how much power they really have in the very near future all that power will be gone. We are heading down a very bad path by keeping quite.

Ultimately, the people create, maintain, and love the status quo. Empowering people enables them to change it. Only they can.

If you're a United States citizen, power to the people. We allegedly have a government "of, by and for the People." If the people wish to maintain a status quo, then that is their right. It's a sad, but true, fact though that many people do not realize this precious empowerment and allow the status quo (against their better interests) to exist because they are afraid of the responsibility and fear the unknown in exercising their power. It's easier to let some amorphous "them" handle it.
