If she uses the word "date" explicitly I would take that as a clue that she is interested. However, if you two have yet to even go on a date it's probably too soon for either of you to know if it's truly love, or just infatuation. And obviously, I would highly discourage relations if one person is underage (i.e. if you're still in high school or anything less) or even if you are both of age at a rather formal institution like a college or university. In either case, they are putting themselves at risk of loosing their job and in the first case, going to jail and being labeled a sex offender for the rest of their life (which may affect where they can live, if they are ever allowed around children again, and of course where they can work). If you mean "teacher" as in that older lady that gives you voice lessons on weekends (and you're younger but an adult), there could be some room there for a relationship.

I'm hoping this means college teacher and not high school. Either way it's inappropriate. The answer to the question is no, it doesn't mean she loves you. She's flirting with you.

If your teacher says she will go out on a date with you, there are more than a couple of things wrong with this scenario. First, if you are in secondary school, a teacher of either sex has no business making any such comment to a student. Such actions not only violate the terms of their employment contract and school regulations, they are illegal if you are a minor. They also place you and your techer in a conflicty of interest situation, which benefits no one. If she has made such comments to you without provocation or coaxing on your part, she is way out of line and must be reported to the school administration. Second, if you are at the post-secondary level, any member of the teaching staff who does any such thing is acting inappropriately and unethically. Cases such as these can be considered abuse of authority by the staff member. They certainly put you and the staff member in a conflict of interest situation, which can be detrimental to you, and will be interpreted negatively by the remainder of the class.
