Help answer this question below.

I just replaced the motor on my 97 nissan maxima. (3.0 engine) It idles and runs fine but starts terribly hard, almost like its flooded. If engine is cold it might crank for 15 seconds or more. it also kicks back or misses while cranking.

it sounds like your timing is off and the engine gets hard to turn over. some times the engine is to tight(crank bearing etc.)
