An airconditioner in a tent would be seriously insane since a tent has almost no insulation (of course, that doesn't mean that it isn't available in the US :-). Anyway, you could go camping in a forrest or in a similar place where it doesn't get too hot.

You gotta be kiddin'. If not, you've been spending too much time on the couch, dude. Living in the south, summers here are allways hot, but there are ways to stay comfortable in all but the hottest days. Set up your tent in a nice shaded area and orient it to take advantage of any natural breezes. Light weight clothing helps and if you getb too hot, take a dip and cool off. Eat lite during the hottest part of the day and stay well hydrated. The choice is yours, friend, get out and enjoy life, or stay inside and wait for stories from us that do!

You sound like my wife! If you're that concerned, camp in a camp ground with shower facilities and lots of shade. If you choose a camp site with electrical power available, you could bring a small fan. Otherwise, go camping with your girlfriend with a mind to have fun and relax & enjoy yourself!

What I did was take a big cooler with ice frozen in flat bags. I would swap them out under a light sheet in the tent during the night. It may sound stupid but it really cooled me off. I work out in the heat every day and am outside at least 12 hours a day. I don't really want to sleep out in it either.

Yes there is and if they have electric you can get a bigger one. This one is battery powered. You just have to google it, google is your friend. http://www.safetycentral.com/coboxpobaopr.html
