  • He wept because of Lazareth's death.
  • I believe it was because his friend Lazarus had died. When Jesus referred to his condition he likened it to sleep because Jesus brought him back to life and woke him up. Of course Lazarus eventually died again but if he was in Heavenly bliss, you think Jesus would have brought him back to this earth to die again? I think not.

  • Jesus wept because His own people, the jews, still did not believe He was the Truth, the Light, the Son of Man. He came to the world and no matter what Jesus did, ther was always doubt. Jesus knew of the death days before arriving and did so because He knew another miracle was needed. Jesus wept because of the Jew unbelief of there own God, nothing more nothing less.

  • He just found out his friend died. Even though we know there is a life hereafter, it doesn't make it easy to lose our friends. He went on to bring Lazarus back from the dead, a miracle He preformed many times.
  • I BELIEVE THAT JESUS WEPT BECAUSE EVEN THOUGH HE RAISED LAZARUS FROM THE DEAD IN FRONT OF HIS PEOPLE, THEY STILL DID NOT BELIEVE HE WAS THE SON OF GOD. THATS WHY JESUS WEPT.
  • Jesus was emo. His parents did not understand him.
  • G'day Stonney, Thank you for your question. He wept at the tomb of Lazarus. It is found in the Gospel of John, chapter 11, verse 35. After weeping, he asked for the stone to be removed from the tomb, prayed and asked Lazarus to walk out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_wept Regards
  • John 11:35 Jesus wept. (ASV) This occurred just before Christ resurrected Lazarus from the dead. Why did he weep? The context provides some clues. Jesus was fully aware, (unlike the other mourners), that Lazarus was about to be brought back to life. - John 11:11 These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. - It's not logical that Jesus was weeping about his death, since he knew that resurrection was imminent. What caused him to weep? Apparently, he was moved by the acute pain and sense of loss that those around him were experiencing. - John 11:33-35 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, 34 and said, Where have ye laid him? They say unto him, Lord, come and see. 35 Jesus wept. This account provides some insight into Christ's personality. He was moved to tears by the pain of others. He showed true empathy. Empathy has been defined this way: - Empathy is your pain,... in my heart.
