i react to it, if that is appropriate. if not, i will vent to somebody else, so i don't say something i would regret to the person who was angry at me.

I deflect the anger and get the situation reversed by using NLP to change the situation.

It depends who, why, and how.

I'm witty, and would usually find a comeback. Otherwise, I'll either fight back, or laugh in your face.

Sometimes I'll ignore it, but not very often.

It's difficult sometimes not to react in the same way. If it's controlled anger, I let that person vent and speak their mind, let them finish and then give them my reply.
I like to use the expression: "I understand why you might feel that way, but..."

A blank stare right before I walk away. I hate arguing. When ya calm down, THEN we'll talk.

That depends on the situation but for the most part I say, "You are absolutely right....." I take responsibility for my part of whatever it is and I mean it sincerely. It usually works and I usually even get an apology in return.

I smile at the person and threaten to put their face through a wall.

As a very small, rather disabled woman, I find this works very well. No one expects someone like that to stand up for themselves like it. If a person is smiling while threatening them, they usually have a reason to be worried and will back down, regardless of anything about their stature.
